About Local Fund

High streets are held together by people — the regular who needs a bit of breathing room this month, and the café owner who could do so much with a little backing. Local Fund exists for both.

Town by town

We open one town at a time, where there's real demand. Money raised in a community is put to work in that same community, and we publish exactly where it goes.

Fair by design

Personal loans are interest-free. The small fee is refundable: repay on time and it's waived completely. Businesses get patient, sensible funding structured around what they actually need — never a debt trap.

Funded By

Local companies and individuals can back specific funds through our Funded By scheme. Contributions are gifts; funders receive recognition, not repayment.

Local Fund is in pilot development and is not currently offering regulated credit.
